1.13 Use of Dispenser Bottles

Use the colour-coded bottles only for products of the same colour code. This will ensure no remnants left in the container are mixed with other chemicals, and that all spray bottles and chemicals are clearly labelled.

Use up the solution and wash the empty bottle before refilling, otherwise, a solution can get stronger by ‘over dosing’. Unless instructed otherwise, add water to the bottle first, then add the chemical.

Use taps or hand pumps to decant chemicals. Do not tip or pour. Use measurements marked on the side so that they can be filled accurately.

Use squirt caps instead of spray triggers if airborne vapour could be a problem. Especially for acidic toilet cleaners and products with chlorine.
