1.20 Be Mindful of Manual Handling

Care should always be taken when manually handling heavy items.

  •  Use 5L bottles where possible instead of larger containers
  •  Have trolleys available to carry chemicals long distances
  •  Do not lift large containers above waist height
  •  Check the Occupational Health & Safety Act
  •  Use taps or hand pumps. Do not tip or pour chemicals
