Products may have adverse side effects if they are used for a task that they were not intended for.
For example, floor stripper is for removing floor sealers, NOT for heavy-duty cleaning. Acidic products like toilet cleaners can damage terrazzo, marble, and laminates, so they must be used on the appropriate surface to prevent damage.
The correct products to use on-site should have been provided by the supervisor.
Always check the product label for the tasks the product is meant to be used for. If in doubt, talk to your supervisor or the supplier to see which products are compatible with what surfaces.
