MOP ON A COAT OF SEALER WITH A BUCKET & MOP
Rinse new mops in clean water first. Always use clean mops that are kept for polishing only. Never use dirty or stripper mops.
Pour sealer into clean wringer bucket. Start with half a bucket of sealer, or less if it is a small floor. Saturate mop in sealer. Don’t make bubbles in the sealer. Lift the mop and draw strings through the wringer under light pressure. The mop should be wet, but not dripping.
Frame up an area by coating three sides of a square area (to your left, in front of you and to your right). Fill area by moving mop from side to side in a figure of eight motion while walking backwards.
Frame up next area and repeat until whole floor is coated. The second coat should be laid at 90 degrees to the way the first coat was laid. This creates a smoother finish by negating the effect on mop streaks (like brush strokes) in the finish.
