1.3 Number of Coats

BASE SEALER:

  • Floors MUST BE TOTALLY DRY before applying the first coat of a base sealer like AGAR’s FIRST BASE
  • Usually 1 coat is needed for less porosity floors or 2 coats for highly porous floors. So overall you’ll need 1-2 coats of FIRST BASE depending on the floor type

FINISH (TOP-COAT) SEALER:

  • It is advisable to apply three coats of top coat sealer like AGAR’s 3D-GLOSS allowing each coat to dry before laying the next coat
  • Then you can apply a further 1-2 coats of 3D-GLOSS top coat after 1-2 weeks
  • So overall you will need a total of 3-5 coats of top sealer to get best results
