1.5 Identifying Dangerous Goods Products

Dangerous products are also communicated with a diamond label, however, they have a different design that includes the class number. The product label will display a table that lists the product’s transport information including its U.N. No., Dangerous Goods Class, Packing Group, and Hazchem Code used by emergency services.

Note: U.N number is the United Nations number that identifies hazardous materials.

Dangerous Goods Diamonds like those pictured are found on all Agar products labels where required.

The Australian Dangerous Goods ADG classification is also noted on the SDS in Section 2 – Hazards Identification.
