1.7 Neutralising

Not really needed with ULTRASTRIP or STR-36 – rinse with plenty of water.

When stripping porous marble, limestone and terrazzo floors with DEMOLISH, check pH after rinsing. Apply NEUTRALIZER if necessary.

To check, moisten floor with water and blot with pH test paper.

Only needed if pH > 9.5

If pH is too high: add 1 part NEUTRALISER to 200 parts rinse water, and rinse the floor. Then test again.

Note:
Don’t use strong stripper (more than 1:5) unless there is a very thick coating or heavy build-up. If strong stripper soaks into a porous floor that has worn bare, it can be difficult to rinse it out, and it will attack sealer.
